(I am making a book for a dear friend of mine titled "Experience Happiness Reflecting Christ Daily". I thought I would share each days thought that I write for the book with you all as well. Hope you are blessed!)
Day 2
As I sit here and write. I look out the window. White fluffy snow is falling from a pure white sky. The trees are covered with crystal clear ice. That even sparkles. The snow is sticking to the ice, making it all the more beautiful! It reminds me of the great price Jesus paid for you and me that we may be white as snow and be all purity. Not one spot of blemish in our character.
Isaiah 1:18 - "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
Psalms 51:7 - "Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Matthew 28:3 - His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow."
1 John 1:9 - "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
“His countenance was like lightning, and His raiment white as snow.” He was all light and purity. He is the example we are to look to and pattern our lives after. Christ was all righteousness. The more we behold Him the more we become like Him.
2 Corinthians 3:18- "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."
Let Jesus into your heart anew today, behold Him. And shine for you have everything to smile and be happy about. Forget all your troubles, and thank God for all He has given you. Speak a kind word to someone in need, and try to cheer and encourage all those around you.
Serving others...... you will find out is so much more fun than doing things your own way! Be a servant and a sunbeam for Jesus.....today!
Day 1
Start today….not tomorrow….today.
Make it your goal to make as many people as you can SMILE.
A smile can change everything. I've heard of stories where someone smiled at someone else….and through that simple smile stroke the friendship of a lifetime. A smile can be a way in saying “You’re Loved”, “You’re Beautiful”, “You’re Cherished”, “You’re Liked”, “You’re Needed”, and a simple thing such as a smile can help someone keep going.
I love going to town, walking through Wal-Mart and seeing how many people I can make smile. Sometimes, I must admit, it’s pretty awkward to look straight into someone’s eyes and flash a big smile… But to see their face light up, makes my heart jump and feel all warm and cheery inside. It’s the best feeling in the world. Trust me, just try it. You’ll never regret it. There are so many people out there that think their all alone, who no one smiles at, who feel as if they aren't needed and if they weren't here it wouldn't make a difference. You never know what that person, you walked by in Wal-Mart and didn't smile at, is going through. Maybe by your smile you stopped them from ending their life. God only knows.
So start today in smiling to every one you pass by….not a fake smile or slight smile, mind you. But look into their eyes, and smile nice, big, and bright. GRIN! :)*Giggles*
