When No One Understands

When no one understands

The way seems dark and drear

There's no one to hold your hands

No one is very dear.

Your heart aches with sadness

And pain that won't pass away

The happy days how you miss

The golden years of bliss.

Nothing seems to be going right

No one seems to care

No one to hold you tight

Seems there's no one there.....

There's darkness all around you

The path seems hard and lonely

Seems there's no way to make it through

But you try to wait patiently

For better days to come.

Alass your heart can wait no longer

It cries out with bitter tears

Oh dear, God, my heart will hold no longer

Oh come near me, and take away my fears.

When no one ever understands

Or no one seems to even care

God assures you of better lands

Where you'll be loved and cherished there.

But while those days are yet to be

God holds you with his almighty hand

Assuring you He will always love thee

And will always understand.

So trust in His unchanging grace

He will forever hold you tight

No matter what in life you face

He will be your golden light.
